One child was killed and another wounded by a Houthi sniper on Monday morning in the city of Taiz in southwestern Yemen.
The child was killed and his relative was injured while playing under a tree in front of their house in Osaifrah neighborhood in northern Taiz city, an official from the local authority told Almasdar Online.
Houthi snipers are intensively targeting civilian movements in Osaifrah and Jabal Jarrah, another neighborhood in northern Taiz, the official added.
The incident comes hours after Houthi fighters shelled the women’s section of the Central Prison in Taiz, killing five female prisoners and a child visiting her mother and injuring 28 others.
