Houthis arrest 17 college students in Dhamar

The Houthis stormed dozens of homes in Dhamar city, about 100 kilometers south of the capital of Sana’a, and arrested 17 youths in the past 24 hours, according to the head of a rights group.

It is unclear why these particular students were targeted and their whereabouts are unknown, said the rights activist, who requested anonymity out of fear of retaliation.

On Sunday, 12-year-old Aseel Ali Hammoud Mayas was abducted by Houthi gunmen in front of his family's home in the Al-Buthoor neighborhood in Dhamar’s city center. There are no confirmed reports of the child's fate so far.
