The security chief for Hadhramout governorate’s Shibam district, Saleh Bin Ali Jaber, was killed Tuesday along with three others when an explosive device was detonated near the police vehicle they were traveling in.
Jaber was out supervising the implementation of the district’s curfew, which aimed to help stop the spread of coronavirus, according to a source close to the chief.
No one has claimed responsibility for the assassination. Jaber has been the target of several assassination attempts, the source added.
