Hadhramout continues to host Yemeni football league matches despite war

Teams Sha’b Hadhramout and Wehdat Aden tied in a match on Monday at the Olympic Stadium in Seiyun, the capital city of Hadhramout in eastern Yemen, as part of the league matches organized by the Yemeni Football Association.

Eight clubs from various Yemeni governorates are participating in the tournament, which started on Jan. 12 in Seiyun.

The participating clubs were divided into two groups: The first comprises Ahli Sana'a, Sha’b Hadhramout, Wehdat Aden and Wehdat Ibb. The second includes Al-Tilal Aden, Hilal Al-Hodeidah, Ahli Taiz and Yarmouk.

Al-Tilal Aden and Ahli Taiz beat their opponents in the first round and qualified for the next stage of the competition, while matches group one have been postponed due to ongoing deliberations.

The final match is scheduled for Friday in Seiyun.
