Sha’b Hadhramout defeats Wehdat Aden in penalty shootouts at football league championship

Team Sha’b Hadhramout was crowned champion of the Yemeni Football Association on Sunday afternoon, beating Wehdat Aden 3-2 in penalty shootouts at the Olympic Stadium in Seiyun, the capital city of Hadhramout in eastern Yemen.
The match was extended into extra time, keeping the 40,000 fans hooked until its final seconds.
Eight teams from all sides of Yemen’s frontlines participated in the league, which started on Jan. 12: Sha’b Hadhramout, Wehdat Aden, Al-Tilal Aden, Ahli Taiz, Wehdat Ibb, Yarmouk, Ahli Sana'a and Hilal Al-Hodeidah.
